***** FP can give VERY CONFUSING and UNEXPECTED
results when selecting objects (tables, cells, pictures...) using
the mouse. Though it may be slightly tedious, ALWAYS SELECT
objects by inserting the cursor, then:
a) <Alt> ACT to select table, <Alt> ACE to select a
cell, etc.
b) To change the PROPERTIES of the selected object, use
<Alt> <Enter> to access the Properties Sheet
c) To copy the selection, use <Ctrl>
C. When laying out a new page, we typically INSERT a stacked
set of TABLES (at 100% width) into the MASTER TABLE. |
for
pictures;
a) insert table (<Alt> AIT)
b) pick R, C, width = 100%, spacing = 8
c) select leftmost cell (insert cursor, then <Alt> ACE),
then set Hz = Left
d) next, set rightmost cell at Hz = Right, and all center
cells at Hz = Center |
for text fields;
a) insert table (<Alt> AIT)
b) pick R, C, width = 100%, spacing = 8
c) To adjust space above or below a paragraph, Right click in
the desired paragraph, then from the drop down menu select
SPACE ABOVE or SPACE BELOW.
d) To adjust space to the Right or Left of a paragraph,
Right click in the desired paragraph, then from the drop down menu
select either INDENTATION BEFORE or INDENTATION AFTER. |
| Use this
table to test width <Alt> ACT, then <Alt>
<Enter> This cell is currently XXX
px wide |

This is ADDED to the space taken by the pic. |
